Park of Memories

The name of the park is a reminder of the Mikulᚴs Jews and the Jewish community, which held an important place in the history of the town.

Until 1983, there was a Jewish cemetery, of which only a few tombstones have been preserved. Some of them are currently located in the synagogue.

Rohonci Garden

In its heyday, the garden was the centre of social life of town inhabitants. Feasts, dance parties and various cultural events took place there. More info

Mária Rázusová-Martáková Park

Originally, there was a cemetery belonging to the town section of Vrbický/ Vyšný Hušták. More info

Martin Rázus Park

The park was originally named after Gašpar Fejérpataky-Belopotocký, a bookbinder and important Mikulas´s publisher. More info

Kubínis´Park

It is named after two significant natives from the village of Demänová – Mikuláš and Alexander. More info

Ivan Laučík Park

Ivan Laučík, a native of Liptovský Mikuláš, worked in the Liptov region as a teacher and principal at several primary and secondary schools. More info

Margita Dobrovičová Park

The important Mikulᚴs poetess won several awards for her works and remained in the memories of Mikulᚴs natives even after her death, when other collections of poetry were published. More info

Iľanovo Park

A small green area of the park stretches between the House of Culture and the Evangelical Church in the town part of Iľanovo. There is a monument in the park dedicated to the victims of the World War I and II, bearing the names of the fallen soldiers. More info

Ladislav Matiašovský Park

Ladislav Matiašovský was a bishop of Nitra, a Hungarian chancellor and a secret royal adviser. More info
